How to find teammates in Rust
- Sign in through Steam and open a lobby: pick a server from the catalog or type its address by hand, say how many people you need and a word about the plan.
- Send the link to your friends or wait for requests from the public list — who gets into the squad is the owner’s call.
- Agree on Discord and a time in the lobby’s chat. A lobby lives twelve hours and closes itself; a squad is never more than four people.
- Nobody to play with and no wish to pick a server — press «Auto-search»: we put together a squad of up to four out of whoever is looking right now, picking teammates near you and matching language and roles, and where to play you decide together in the chat.

Is it free?
Yes, completely. All you need is a Steam account: your future teammates know you by your Steam name and avatar. You can browse the open lobbies without signing in.

How does auto-search work?
You join a queue, and we build a lobby of up to four out of whoever is looking right now and speaks your language. Players near you come first, so nobody ends up with high ping on the server you share. We match roles so the squad gets a builder and a farmer rather than four raiders. You pick the server and the wipe together in the chat.

Can I find teammates for a specific server?
Yes. Open a lobby and pick the server from the RustTV catalog or type in its address — whoever asks to join wants to play right there. Who gets in is your call.

How many players are in a lobby?
Two to four: a duo, a trio or a full squad for the wipe. The owner sets the size; auto-search aims for four and settles for three when the queue is thin. A lobby lives twelve hours and then closes itself.
